Join us Wednesday July 20, 2016 at 8est by calling 3478267332 or by logging on to www.blogtalkradio.com/georgejacksonradio.  We will discuss The Provisional Government-Republic of New Afrika; how it functions, and all of its aims and objectives so that it is clear to the people.  To help us we will have on with us Kwasi Akwamu, a Detroit-based conscious citizen of the Republic of New Afrika, declaring his citizenship in 1992 while in prison, ever since then he has been active in  service of New Afrikan self-determination. He co-founded Helping Our Prisoners Elevate, an outreach org. that addressed the issues of rentry and mass incarceration, co-founded the Malcolm X Rites of Passage Program for Black Boys; launched the Trades for Teens program, which matches New Afrikan boys to New Afrikan men to learn concrete skills; and he leads the New Afrikan Study Circle study group. He authored the book STOP SNITCHING: DOES IT REDUCE CRIME IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY?; and was also the Arts & Culture editor for the weekly newspaper Michigan Citizen, as well as publisher/editor of the Urbanite newsletter. Mr. Akwamu is practicing self-determination through his operation of two businesses, a sign company and a retail store focusing on books and original art and screenprinted apparel."Within the New Afrikan Independence Movement, we do not aspire to be a "country within a country" or a "nation within a nation." That is the present reality. We aspire to liberate our NATION from the domination of the United States, in those very same Black Belt states, but operating as a sovereign government.  We do not aspire to be a NATION within, under or over any other NATION, and certainly reject any relations with any imperialist governments."Kwasi
