Today, I beg your pardon for indulging so much in the tartan nation.  I know you will understand.  I'm old enough to be emotional about such things, and since I'm with friends of course I want to share a laugh or two.

Everyone can claim to be Scottish especially when we sit together to celebrate the poet and share some hospitality with a meal and a short one.

The first Grahams in my family landed in Prince Edward Island directly from Scotland in 1797 and are still there. Wearing tartan is just what you do. If you have been there, you know you are close to a freemason whereever you are on the Island. Next time you are near Cavendish, be sure to visit the Women's Institute Caelie. To get directions just ask.  Even as far away as Rustico, they know about the Caelie. If you do go, please say hi to my Auntie Marguerite.  

I like to think the island hospitality and warmth is a hold over of the scottish culture that never really diminished. Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, the accented Newfoundlanders or New Brunswickers, Blue Noser or Herrin' Choker- no one seemed to wander around too much.  Home is home.

I think we can agree, freemasonry would not be  what it is today, without the brilliance of the lads.
