When we think historically, we often fail to notice that history is not of the moment. Masonry has been a study of capturing a perception that something has been lost if the 18th century is not relived.  That would be a culture comfortable with their assertions of landmarks- beliefs, forms of language, dress and congregation. Charged with the Acception, Masonry is passed from one mind to the next; with a narrative that may be failing to illustrate it is audacious.  Accept the goals, work within the principles and ethics of a good life and be aware for yourself.  This is the school for the development of singlemindedness.  Awareness being the singularity.  Simplicity being release from our comfort zone into the great unknown.  A lost word. A temple destroyed. Secrets known but not expressed without 3.  Occult, alchemical, conscientious, self-disciplined. Good natured. 

In each  of us- a mason- are the ingredients needed to renew and restore our belief patterns, an opportunity of a lifetime.  Diaspora- pockets of men for whom joining the group is not rewarding who find their path to enlightenment is unencumbered- that it is possible to be actively committed when the stairs are too much to navigate; when age and health determine our hours of labour and rest; not a failure but a mason embracing our landmarks differently at different points in his life.

Once the Acceptance is given- it remains hopeful to our last breath.
