Confusion and conflict or simplicity and order? Which is our goal? 18th Century poets directed our attention to the value found in nature- where simplicity and order were found. Many older people reach and age where they declare they have enough ideas and close themselves to new, innovation. In other words- they atrophy. Dilettantes do not do the work needed to understand- but they are a profligate bunch, louder than the nuanced conversation of true masons. What can nature teach us about simplicity and order? Equipped with that knowledge, would masonry be more accessible?
