Unreasonable Effectiveness

Today.  How can something produced in the human mind remain constant throughout the universe? The laws of motion explained by Issac Newton are a constant. But these same laws apply to all the distant galaxies.  Math permeates the universe. Einstein wondered how is it possible that mathematics, something produced in the human mind, does so well explaining the universe. Noble Prize-winning physicists, Eugene Vikner referred to this as the unreasonable effectiveness of mathematics which we neither understand nor deserve. When I first heard this reference, I was overwhelmed.  After years of searching for definitions that applied to Freemasonry, it was revealed in mathematics.  Such a strong parallel with the Order starts with a question. How is it Freemasonry answers so many questions? Freemasonry is then the epitome of this definition: unreasonable effectiveness.   How is it that groups of men carrying on the laws of a philosophical order without understanding or deserving the answer? That is the science we experience. Not knowingly following rules of mathematics, but influenced by infallible laws.

It didn't matter if the cannonball or the feather understood the physics offered by Galileo. Both were influenced similarly by the laws of gravity. Freemasons are the parallel, following with mathematical accuracy. Whether we understand or not, the laws apply
