TIMING & SYNCHRONICITY

The icons of masonic experience are stories. Time is distorted into immediacy of proximity. Past,present and future are unified. How do we calcuate our history? Yes, we needed clerks to run centralized bureaucratic operations. But continuous reference is better than the personnal surveilence of a mobile phone. We have so much source material. Those notes from that lodge on this date curated by those who inherited the value added historic events. Relationships, what we were, who we are and the gossipy bits of history tell the most.  There is something quite remarkable living with continuous history. Links with a time when masonry began visiting our shores. London is one of many Grand Lodges. Organizing to cross borders it broke through rules of engagement, the etiquette between church and state.  Freemasonry offered such broad, temporate explanations with so much respect and eloquence, there was no need to apologize. What authority prevailed? Reason. Logic. Each member, expressing agency.  Magna Carta. I think we can agree, an intelligent person driven by some trigger will navigate relationships to fulfill their part of a plan. We are learning how to influence that is simple, honest and effective. We need to be cautious about unfairly distressing people. Especially to observers who do not fit the criteria and feel they are being excluded. A Mason is expected to navigate with a good reputation intact.  Not an easy challenge. What this tells us, Freemasonry is not frivolous. It is life with fullness. The path is difficult. You would only expect to live such a good life, would not be  extrodinary to extrodinary people. To think masonry is giving it away is odd.  It's like the guy who unlocks the gate of a marble quarry being acknowledged when a finished statue is installed.  We do it different. We encourage one another as we benefit from the generated support. Sort of a trademark isn't it?
