What builds confidence in good men is on display throughout freemasonry. The importance is not occasional or elective. It is strong because our obligations are uncompromising. When we see merit being ignored, it is a bell toll to rally and push back not rashly but to control stability. We would rather be criticized than lower standards. It takes confidence across lodges to be influential. It takes men capable of validating the issues at hand, staying true to our values, to who we are as freemasons. Worldwide, we are getting to know the unknown brother, who represents all the qualities. We prefer avoid shameing or requiring acts of contrition. But to protect truth based systems is a choice, standing in solidarity with each other, asking the hard questions. Right now, old world masonry is gaining more attention by letting the world know the transformation of character is a serious commitment not an evening of distraction. In a place overrun with materilism, we are splitting rather than complying with ideology. Only a man of character can take necessary steps to protect unvarnished truth. What builds confidence is knowledge that is consitent, that we can trust without intemmidate. What we did when universites were attacked, is an uncomfortable mirror of reality. We need continue to encourage the narrative. If we are strong in our convictions, we will deal with any and all attacks as gentlemen. Quiet diplomacy is our wheelhouse. Think long and hard. And enjoy the freedom to weigh in.
