Special Guest: Khalil Gibran Muhammad, Ph.D. is the Director of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture and a former associate professor of history at Indiana University. Dr. Muhammad's book The Condemnation of Blackness: Race, Crime, and the Making of Modern Urban America, published by Harvard University Press, won the 2011 John Hope Franklin Best Book award in American Studies. He is now working on his second book, Disappearing Acts: The End of White Criminality in the Age of Jim Crow, which traces the historical roots of the changing demographics of crime and punishment so evident today.

Dr. Marco Clark is Founder of the Richard Wright Public Charter School for Journalism and Media Arts. http://www.richardwrightpcs.org/ .He is also the founder of Broken Promise Schools, an organization that is designed to discuss critical issues in public school education. Dr. Clark is Co-Founder of PEACE through Urban Exchange, which focuses on "Preparing, Engaging, Achieving, and Creating Excellence".

Teens 4 Good is a youth -led food production and nutrition business that transforms vacant lots into urban farms that grow fresh vegetables, herbs, fruit and flowers. Through hands-on entreprenuerial and educational activities, youth learn practical skills about how to create, build and sustain a socially responsible business.
