Special guest: Actress Jasmine Davis

Jasmine Davis came from the streets of Chicago IL.  She was raised by a single mom. Her father battled drug addiction.

Jasmine knew she was different from her other gay family members even before her dad asked her, at the age of 12, if she was planning on having a sex-change when she got older. Jasmine realized quickly how she had to become passable to survive the harsh streets of Chicago.

Jasmine has Dyslexia. But she learned it was a gift after taking classes at the improv school Second City in Chicago where she met other dyslexic people who were succeeding in life working in the arts while having fun. She finally found a community where all races and genders and classes came together as storytellers.

Jasmine can be seen on LA's Finest and Deviants. She currently plays the character Imani on Showtime's The Chi created by Lena Waithe.
