LIVE TODAY @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! Recalled! It appears that Eugene City Councilor Claire Syrett has been recalled by the voters of her ward over her support for the "Moving Ahead" program that would take lanes away from River Road for an EmX bus route. Dawn Lesley has spoken in support of Moving Ahead in the past and wants to represent Santa Clara on the County Commission. This is a pretty big thing as recalls are rarely successful. The voters are not happy about EmX on River Road. The Board will also be considering raising the Transient Room Tax paid by hotels and other lodging to support a multi-use stadium at the fairgrounds that would be home for the Eugene Ems baseball team. What are your thoughts on using a lodging tax for a stadium? It is also high fire season again as we get ready to acknowledge the second anniversary of the Holiday Farm Fire. I want to explain what federal law says about accepting FEMA funds that is why the lawsuit over liability for causing the fire. Meanwhile California is mandating electric vehicles and just a couple of days later asking folks not to charge them during certain times of the day due to power shortages... We can also talk about anything else on your mind, just give us a call!
