Listening to his elders arguing politics influenced him as he came of age in the 60s. He marched against the war in Vietnam, listened to left-leaning radio like WBAI, read Ray Bradbury for inspiration, and spent the summer of 69 at Woodstock. He also spent some time in a political cultish group similar to the one in his novel THE ORG.
