Guest: James Aspey- Animal Rights Activist 28 year old vegan, animal rights activist from Sydney, Australia. He became a Personal Trainer after winning his battle with cancer.
James helped others live healthier, more positive lives for 9 years. During that time he learned about the health benefits of cutting meat from his diet and went vegetarian. Soon later, after learning about the horrors of the egg and dairy industry, he became vegan for ethical reasons. James then took a 365 day vow of silence to raise awareness for animals and promote peace over violence, in his campaign, Voiceless365.
"As the clock struck midnight on January 1st, 2014, I commenced a vow of silence for 365 days. What this means is I voluntarily sacrificed my ability to speak for an entire year! Needless to say... It was a serious challenge!
I drove half way around Australia, volunteering at rescue farms, nursed a rescued bobby calf from nearly dying in my arms back to health, worked on the boats in protest of a shark cull, experienced the horror of factory farms with my own eyes, went to Bali to get tattoos representing animal rights and veganism, handed out hundreds of vegan advocacy DVD's and everywhere I go promoting compassion to ALL living beings while remaining entirely voiceless!
In the last quarter of my journey and cycled over 5000km's from Darwin to Sydney due to my not-so-trusty van breaking down in the middle of the Western Australian outback. It was the adventure of a lifetime!
