Part 2 with Guest speaker Michelle Young Doers RRT a Registered Respiratory Therapist and author of the newly released book in 2019 titled Killing for Profit, The Dark Side of Hospice. Michelle was our guest on March 4th but we barely covered the information she has to share with us. Michelle writes this heartfelt book from deep within the trenches of what she witnessed first-hand while working for hospice, caring for patients at the end of their life. She saw a business model of cutting corners, making promises that would never be kept and placing the bottom line of the accountants ahead of the care for the patient. Her book shares personal stories of several of her patients and how the process really works and she provides medical terminology explaining to the readers what is really happening to the patient physically before their death. Information we have no clue about and that might be very useful for future knowledge. Michelle is a very compassionate person for her patients in addition to their families including many pets that she took the extra step to find homes for that would be left behind and ignored, just like the owners were in their last days. Hear how her confrontation to management ultimately cost her her job. It’s not a pretty story but then hospice is not a pretty end to someone’s life. People’s life are being shortened by hospice with opioids and antipsychotic drugs resulting in starvation and dehydration leaving behind families who are in shock having witnessed their death and powerless to save them. This talk show was created to spread the truth about what actually is occurring in almost every hospice across the country. Stealth Euthanasia is happening across the country as elderly and disabled are being targeted for early death and deemed unworthy of life.
