Betrayed by Hospice with host Marsha Joiner – Wednesday, February 9, 2022 #60P

On January 26, 2022, we discussed what qualifies a person to be enrolled into hospice.

February 9, 2022, we will discuss how hospice comes into your world and takes over totally and not in a good way. My guest speaker, Michelle Young Doers isn’t new to this subject as she is a former Registered Respiratory Therapist who worked for hospice until she could no longer stand the lies and manipulation. She chose her patients and humanity over the hospice dollar signs and quotas.

She shares her rare, behind the scenes insight into hospice practices in her book

Killing for Profit – The Dark Side of hospice.

Michelle shows us the business model of cutting corners, making promises to patients that will never be kept and how the bottom line was more crucial than taking care of the patients and their life. Her compassion resonates in her book and when talking with her as she details stories about her patients and how they were betrayed by the very system they trusted.

We are all at risk of being the next victim of hospice so called compassionate care while they use manipulation and deceit to convince family members they are only here to help and they care. As you have heard and will hear tonight, nothing could be further from the truth. Don’t become their next mark by ignoring the signs. Knowledge is power.
