Tonight Lawrence Lucas is joined by Mr. Eddie Slaughter, Executive Director of the American Agriculturalist Association, and, Ms. Bernie Atchison, a Black farmer from Alabama and Ms. Atchison is the Executive Director of Black Farmers of Chilton County,  to discuss the ongoing discrimination that has gone on for decades within the USDA.

The discrinatory practices within the USDA have been well documented for decades. These continued and increased substantially under Ton Vilsack's first administration at the USDA, and have seen absolutely no improvement under his control currently.

Our guests will be discussing the denial of loans, the loss of land, and equal access to government settlements and funding. Systematic discrimination and a continuing cycle of unrepayable debt have devasted Black and other minority farmers and there are no signs that this system will change.

And the band plays on!
