SATURDAY MORNING 8AM - DIAL IN #516-453-6065, OR LISTEN ONLINE. It's Memorial Day Weekend. Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring the U.S. military personnel who have died while serving in the United States armed forces. It is observed on the last Monday of May. It was formerly observed on May 30 from 1868 to 1970. Today we honor the brave men and women that have sacrificed their lives. Today feel free to dial in and share something with us about your loved one that served in the Military. Otherwise, just feel free to enjoy great music for the next 30 to 60 minutes tthat has inspired me, and motivated me. I may pop in and share my thoughts on a few of the lyrics and if you're on the call you can do the same. Be sure to click the link to follow so that you can be a part of the conversation every Saturday morning at 8am. June promises to be full of great surprise. TO BE CLEAR, SOMETIMES IF FEEL LIKE SAYING "HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY" IS OXYMORONIC. Sure enjoying outdoors with family and friends. Sure it’s a day to catch stale tootsie rolls at a local parade. But it’s so much more than that Memorial Day, a day on which those who died in active military service are remembered, traditionally observed on May 30 but now officially observed on the last Monday in May says Blogger Laurie Ayers. I say just remember Memorial Day honors those who died while Veterans Day honors those who Served. Not sure it is a Happy Memorial Day for those who actually lost love ones. Enjoy your day, enjoy the festivities but let's be mindful of those who have suffered loss. Then let's do things, if we can, to make their day happy. Since Coffee is universal we use Coffee as a Metaphor for a universal visitation.
