Merriam-Webster defines empowerment as having the power, right, or authority to do something. Let’s break this down to better understand what this looks like for women engaged in the economy. Having: Just as beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so are intangible characteristics such as power and authority. This starts from within, so having the ability to impact the economy begins with how we perceive ourselves. Power, right, authority: Power, right, and authority describe our relationships and the dynamics of how we interact with our surroundings, so having power reflects how we perceive our ability to impact the environment. Your environment. To do something: To do expresses future actions, an event planned but not yet manifested. So having the power to do something reflects a perception of one's ability to impact the future. LET'S TALK ABOUT IT!  YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS IT. COME AND HAVE A CUP OF COFFEE ON ME! You can pick up the new book released June 28, 2022, "Conversations Over Coffee," Sold at Amazon & Barnes & Noble.
