MENTAL DIALOGUE host, BLACK SOCRATES, is the same age as HIP HOP, 47 years-old; and therefore, is very much a part of this HIP HOP generation that learned to ROMANTICIZE LOVE in unhealthy ways, as well as learned to fantasize the PURSUIT OF THEIR DREAMS. As a young boy he was NICE GUY that learned how to be a PLAYER through HIP HOP MUSIC, but when it came time to settle down, he made the mistake of chasing the fairy tale of LOVE without a solid foundation to stand on career wise. While every generation attempts to balance pursuing passion and practicality, many in this HIP HOP GENERATION seemingly lost sight of foundational principles to ensure their RELATIONSHIPS and/or  CAREERS would prosper and last. From a collective standpoint did BLACK WOMEN seemingly surpassed BLACK MEN in general and what role did this HIP HOP culture play in this dynamic? What would SOCRATES recommend in hindsight?  Are there lessons future generations can learn from these mistakes? MENTAL DIALOGUE asking the questions America's afraid to ask. ALL I ASK IS THAT YOU THINK
