Listen to this edition of the Pan-African Journal: Worldwide Radio Broadcast hosted by Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire. The program will feature our regular PANW reports with dispatches on the increasing United States interference in the internal affairs of South Africa and the entire Southern Africa region; President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe has delivered a speech on the shortages of currency inside the country; the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has issued an appeal to the U.S. calling for a new reorientation away from war and aggression against the socialist state; and fighting is continuing between forces loyal to the United Nations imposed Government of National Accord (GNA) in Libya and the IS forces based in Sirte. In the second hour we continue our commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Black Power movement examining a debate between the-then SNCC Chairman Stokely Carmichael and a leading racist propagandist in 1966. Also Muhammad Ali was laid to rest in Louisville, Kentucky on June 10. We will listen to excerpts of interviews with Muhammad when he was facing the heavywieght championship fight with Sonny Liston in early 1964.
