This Thursday I will be talking with a Psychotherapist & The Director, Gatehouse

This evening I am talking about Self Care with Sabra Desai and Maria Barcelos, Director of the Gatehouse.

Sabra Desai, Director, MSW, RSW, Kellogg Fellow, counsellor therapist & educator.  A former faculty in the School of Social & Community Serv.s, Manager of Community Partnership at Humber College. Sabra has provided leadership in the areas of inclusive education & access to post-secondary education for marginalized & vulnerable populations including Aboriginal youth. Sabra laid the foundation for the Humber College Centre of Human Rights, Equity & Diversity as well as initiating the Aboriginal Student Resource Centre. In the 1980s, Sabra worked with a group of women to advocate for a shelter for women & children survivors of family violence which led to the establishment of Interim Place, the first such shelter in Peel Region.
