Dovetales with Singer, Songwriter Shantel Hampton

Dovetakes is excited to have singer and songwriter Shantel Hampton on our program today. Raised on the eastside of Detroit, one of seven childre, by parents Luther Hampton Jr. and soul singer Carla Cooke-Hampton. It is Shantel who graduated from Cherry Hill Performing Arts High school where she was trained in vocals, drama, and dance. Through her mother she received the love for music and the love of business she received from her father. Her gifts have led her to graduate from the University of Detroit Mercy with her B.S. in Finance ( Business). In life, it is hard to carve your uniqueness and individuality out when born to such a rich and rooted family tree, but it is Shantel who in setting herself apart will lead the way to our listeners today to prove through God, all things are possible.
