We all love our moms but at times we didn't understand what they were saying i.e., "Don't write a check that your behind can't cash" ; or "I'll snatch you in the middle of next week"; (what does that even mean, mama?) and, this is gonna hurt me a lot more than it's gonna hurt you (how can it ma when I'm the one getting the whipping??)
At times when the families get together, the grown siblings reminisce about all the life lessons they learned from mama and about how she said, "One day you'll thank me." Guess what, not only do we thank and appreciate her now, we repeat those sayings to our children and we thank GOD that we had a mom who was supportive and who loved us unconditionally eventhough her words were sometimes hard to understand...and, we finally found out what all those "sayings" meant!
