Students across the country are beginning to march to bring attention to the the many lives that have been lost because of gun violence. There are 7,000 shoes that have been placed on the lawn of the United States Capitol building in D.C. representing the lives of children that have died. These shoes have been donated by persons in the D.C. and Virginia area. There are also celebrities who have mailed shoes in to support the effort. Some passerbys are leaving notes. One in particular was from a 2 yr. old who said she didn't want to be shot or for her mommy or daddy to be shot or her grandmother to be shot either. She said her grandmother helped display 40k shoes right here on the lawn in 1994 to protest gun violence. That was two decades (24 yrs.) ago.
