You and your sweetheart sitting in the tree, K. i. s. s. i. n. g. First comes love. Then comes marriage. Then comes the baby with the baby carriage.
That old nursery rhyme is one I've heard since grade school. In its simplicity, it evokes the cycle of courtship between men and women for the course of human history.
For this episode, especially for Valentine's Day, I wanted to focus on marriage. In a lot of romances, the happily ever after ends at the altar. But we all know, happily ever after doesn't end there. We all know that marriage isn't roses and bubbles. It's work.
I wasn't sure what I wanted to say about this topic as there's so much to discuss, so I reached out to my friends, Rich and Linda Nathan to ask their thoughts. We hemmed and hawed about it and then Linda said, "You know, we should talk about a born-again marriage. A marriage that has the Lord in the center of it because it wasn't always like that for us." To which I said, "Great idea!"
Listen in as I chat with Rich and Linda who have been married this year for sixty years as they talk about the change the Lord made in their hearts and how they experienced a born again marriage. This isn't a list of do's and don'ts but a recollection of a journey of togetherness in the Lord. You can listen on Tuesday, February 14th at 7 pm Eastern time by dialing 646-668-8485.
