An overdose is a biological response to when the human body receives too much of a substance or a mix of substances. It can be intentional or accidential. An individual can overdose on illicit drugs, alcohol, prescription mediction, and many other substances.
Today's show is designed to provide information as it relates to overdose. Overdose appears to be a worsening epidemic. Since COVID the number of overdose has also increased. In many cases overdoses are fatal. Symptoms of an overdose can vary.Individuals respond differently to a drug overdose. There is a difference between substance use and abuse. Treatment is available as such is designed to meet a person's needs. One may also be court ordered to receive treatment. Resources and help is available. There is also grief that can be felt by family and friends that may be left behind. Awareness is important. Overdose is preventable.
