Robin Williams was a master at the spontaneous riff. He could just take a topic and go off on several different tangents, making them funnier and funnier as the ideas came to him literally on the spot. In this short chat from 2002 for the film Insomnia, he was in a really healthy and happy place. I have interviewed him over the years since 1982 and he never ceased to amaze and entertain me.

He talks about turning 50, but of course in the way that only Robin Williams can, his return to stand-up after 15 years, and the future of his own Cabarnet wine Chateau Pimm named for his son's middle name, which he loftily gives out to family and friends.

The artistry and comedy of Robin Williams will forever be missed, but never forgotten.
