Jessica Green Brown is a WV native, born and raised in Huntington. She has a BSW degree from Marshall University and is now applying to pursue a dual master’s degree in social work and public administration at Marshall University. Jessica also has a pre-apprenticeship manufacturing certification. With a deep passion for helping empower and inspire people to thrive, overcome and be resilient despite their adversity through sharing her life story, philanthropy, writing, public speaking, and advocacy, She has been a featured guest speaker in podcasts, videos, blog series, and radio shows shared and broadcasted globally since 2021.

Jessica is a humanitarian, an artist, published poet and an author who has been quoted by Resilience: Advocates for Ending Violence and Foster Kids United. She was Volunteer of the Year for SCSA for 2021 and completed the Women Igniting Change Program in 2022. Currently, she volunteers as a representative for the state of WV for the nonprofit organization Foster Kids United and she is the Chair of the Board of Directors for I Believe You. She is working on writing an autobiography, studying Spanish, French, Hindi and Arabic as well as for the law school admission test. Her life story overview is about to be published in Faces of Foster Care 3 April 18, 2024.

Jessica enjoys swimming; reading; writing; dressing up; decorating; crafts such as calligraphy, quilting, knitting, crocheting, painting, drawing, sewing, scrapbooking, and making handmade cards.
