Recently in the news there are reports that NBA player Dion Waiters of the Cleveland Cavaliers refused to join his team on the floor during the time of the National Anthem or for the announcing of his team's starting five players. This report stirred memories of former NBA player Mahmoud Abdul Rauf. Later yesterday Waiters, via Twitter, denied the report.

Coincidentally tdays ago, Friday November 7th I, as an Islamic Imam at Greensburg High School I joined 59 other community leaders, former gold medal olympians, even a well known pitcher for the Minnesota Twins as well as --via Skype -- Donald Rumsfeld, former U.S. Secretary of Defense in a program celebrating the 60th anniversary of President Dwight Eisenhower adding the words "under God" into the Pledge of Allegiance.
