On Feb. 26, 1975 the NOI leadership, along with Muhammad Ali chose Wallace D. Mohammed to succeed his father Elijah Muhammad as they crown Wallace as the Supreme Minister of the Nation of Islam.

With the passing of the Champ, Muslims joined in the many celebrations of Muhammad Ali’s life, but felt marginalized as the Champ’s connection with the NOI and his following of Imam W. Deen Mohammed was omitted in the media as well as in the ceremonies honoring the Champ.

Later an effort to correct these omissions also fell short and was used as an opportunity to accuse Imam W. Deen Mohammed as one who "forgot his father.” Imam Muhammad Siddeeq will address this accusation and fill in other key historical points regarding the advancement of Islam in America and the influence that Islam had on Muhammad Ali.

Imam Siddeeq has Muslim for over 60 years serving in key positions in the NOI and under the leadership of Imam W. Deen Mohammed. He was a top assistant to Min. Farrakhan from 1965-1975 in New York City. Since 1975 he served as an imam in Tallahassee, FL and Indianapolis, IN and as the spiritual advisor of Mike Tyson a.k.a Tariq Abdul-Aziz.
