TOPIC: Can “BLACK LIVES MATTER” While Religion Depicts Racial Images? You don’t want to miss this mentally stimulating conversation this Sunday July 31, 2016 from 1-3 p.m. EST.

As human beings we know that ALL lives matter, however, we plan to discuss how race and racism in religion affects every factor in our lives. If we accept associating divinity with skin color will America ever be able to successfully address and solve our race issues? Is it possible for “black” skin to have consequence and value as long as our dominant society continues to promote divinity in Caucasian flesh?

How do these race-based icons affect the minds of Caucasian Americans when it comes to fully valuing people of other races? Also considering the high rate of black on black crime how do these same race-based religious icons affect the minds of African Americans when it comes valuing “Black Lives”?

To participate in this conversation call 714 816-4673 or just listen online at: http://tobtr.com/s/9141861

Our special guest will be (In-sha’ Allah) Sister Kalimah Azeez. She is the program manager for the American Muslim Advisory Council here in Memphis TN. Also we will have Brother Kyle Ismail. He works for the Corporation for National and Community Service. Previously Kyle has worked for Islamic Relief USA, SHARE Network, and IMAN, Inc.
