Join WMP Sun. Jan. 13, 2019 1-3 p.m. EST an historical book discussion with author Imam Muhammad Siddeeq on his soon to be released book titled, Deferred Allegiances.
Here is a brief synopsis of his book:
Deferred Allegiances is a book dealing with a respectable responsible person who has made a pledge in the presence of thousands of people and has openly postponed or delayed said pledge and has moved on with his lifelong ambitions without a second thought of how his selfish decision will affect those who had believed and trusted him and were counting on him to fulfill said promise.
Perhaps what we call a children’s fairy tale best explains the dilemma of this situation. In the story of Rumpelstiltskin we see this challenge unfold to a poor miller’s daughter who made a promise, never dreaming that she would one day carry in her womb a child for the king. So, promising this strange little man her first born was no more than a distant fantasy. So it is with our contemporary hero from the Lost Found Nation of Islam who has ascended the pinnacle of success with the Million Man March and the great attention being afforded him in the press and throughout the media. Little did he realize that the promise that he made to his friends, Muslim brothers and sisters was going to be the badge that identified and determined how history would see and remember him eternally.
