Even while living at home as middle school or high school student can be a challenge for a Muslim youth maintaining their Islamic identity, so how much more challenging can this be for a Muslim student who may be for the first time living in outside of their parents’ home, often alone on a college campus.
Please know that the focus and intent of this show is NOT to embarrass anyone or to be a time of “confessions” of any kind. Our intent is to educate our Muslim public about the challenges our Muslim students face while living on college campuses. What are some of the support resources available on or nearby college campuses?
What can parents do to aid their children years before they reach college age? What challenges do Muslim youth face from aggressive atheist or agnostic instructors? Also we encourage you to bring issues, concerns and success stories to our show on Sunday. These ideas are a few of the type of questions and concerns that we want to discuss on Sunday March 10, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. EST.
We know that college can be, and should be, an exciting and mind stimulating experience, but we also understand for a Muslim striving to maintain their Deen, their Islamic faith, that in some ways college life can be very lonely – even a bit distressing.
