Christian-privilege and be just as dominating in America as we are witnessing with white-privilege; so what do Muslim parents teach their children about respecting the sacred days and seasons of Christians and Jews. How do Muslims navigate this season with a sincere respect for Christmas while remaining 100 percent Muslim?

This is your invitation to join us for an open, honest and frank conversation on this topic. The Qur'an speaks very highly of Christ Jesus as the son of the Virgin Mary. The 19th chapter of the Qur'an is named after Mary, the mother of Christ Jesus. Although the Qur'anic account of the birth of Jesus is not identical to the two different Biblical accounts of his birth; nonetheless, as Muslims, we witness the sacredness of this birth.

The Qur'an 3:45 states: "Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah. (Yusuf Ali translation)
