Join WORDS-MAKE-PEOPLE on Sunday April 19, 2020 from 1-3 p.m. EST for a frank and open discussion on "What will the COVID-19 Induced "NEW NORMALS" Look Like for Muslims?
How do you think the 'New Normal' will affect the daily life of Muslims? Have we thought about how much input will Muslims have on this "new normal"?
This oxymoronic phrase "NEW NORMAL" on the surface suggest that every American will have to adjust their lifestyles to a new set of social decorum such as "social distancing" and waitresses wearing plastic gloves; but how will this "new normal" affect our worship? There is a good possibility Muslims will not have the usual Eid Al-Fitr salat and feast.
Are there Islamic specific concerns that Muslims should be concerned about?
Is there a moral calling that COVID-19 requires of us as Muslims to be more conscious of our Islamic lives as well as the well-being of the general community life around us?
Join us this Sunday for this two-fold conversation that first will discuss how this undefined "NEW NORMAL" may affect our Islamic life in America; and secondly we'll discuss our call to moral excellence in our personal and community life.
