Sadly too many of our pioneers have passed on without having preparations for someone or some Islamic entity to receive their vast library of Islamic information. Even for a few their children or grandchildren discarded their parents library material, not realizing its great value.

Imams and Islamic community leaders we have an obligation to bring to the fore-conscious of our community members their responsibility to ensure that their library of books, tapes, CDs, magazines and newspapers (Muhammad Speaks, Bilalian News and Muslim Journals) are passed on to trustworthy Muslims who value our history -- people who will categorize, catalog and preserve this valuable information for many generations to come.

This new body of language from -- and insights into -- the sacred Scriptures, the life of Prophet Muhammed (ppbuh), social sciences, and human excellence has been entrusted to us. We do not want to show up on Judgment Day and not have done all we can as a good stewart who protected and preserved what we're entrusted with in this day and time.

Every Student of Imam W. Deen Mohammed is obligated to identify who inherit or where will their personal library go upon their death.
