On Sunday, January 23, 2022, from 1-3 p.m. EST, join WORDS-MAKE-PEOPLE for a two-part mentally stimulating conversation promoting the upcoming, "37th Anniversary of the Great Debate," and an outline of the contributions of Al-Islam in the making of a new people in America.
In part one of WMP, we will focus upon the theme: “Black Colleges need Reparations and Africana Studies Departments to overcome decades of arrested development and cultural alienation.” Our scheduled guest includes Dr. Amiri Yasin Al-Hadid, the former director of the Chair of Africana Studies at Tennessee State University, and Jamila Tyrrell, the current President of the Great Debate Honor Society.

In part two of WMP, we will discuss Al-Islam's Contributions to African Americans; highlighting specific religious, cultural, and social contributions that the Islamic religion has given to the uplift of a whole people who are descendants of former slaves. From improved diets, modest dress, as well as inculcating and infusing a new way of thinking for African Americans, the religion of Al-Islam continues to be a major contributor to the making of a "new people" on Mother Earth.
