Based on the Hegira (Islamic) calendar -- March 31, 2023, corresponds to Ramadan 9, 1444, which is 15 years since the passing of our beloved leader, Imam W. Deen Mohammed. His physical presence is no longer with us, but his leadership lives on in the lives and communities of his faithful students.

On Jan 9, 1983, Imam W. Deen said, "If Allah has blessed us with a man among us, to guide us or to encourage us to come back; and (inaudible, possibly “chose us”) us to come back to the path of Allah – and we have come back to the path of Allah; whatever that person has done that we see of value to us in the present life and in the future, we should cherish it. We should write it down. Note it in our minds and in our hearts. Put it on paper, give it to our children, and say fifty years from now, hold the people that claim to be followers of Prophet Muhammed, and claim to identify with Imam Warith Ud-Din Mohammed, hold them to what was established as right and proper. The man may die now, may die a hundred years later; we don’t care when he dies, that’s permanent – that’s perpetual."
