As-Salaam Alaikum!
Join WORDS-MAKE-PEOPLE on Sunday, February 04, 2024, from 1-4 p.m. EST (that's 10am-1pm PST) as we discuss the great contributions of the Islamic religion upon the African American people - before and after slavery.
Too often the great Islamic contributions to the survival, growth, and inspiring promises for African American (black) people are omitted due to folks simply not knowing the full; however, sadly, some people intentionally disregard, alter, or falsify the facts.
Join me and my special guest Ameen Yasir Mohammed of Los Angeles, the author of the book, “Afrocentricity, Minus Al-Islam, Cheats”. (1993). A book that directly challenges the historians who omit or disregard Al-Islam in their discourses.

Historically, great Islamic leaders such as Mansa Musa, the king of the ancient empire of Mali in West Africa, and Estavanico "Little Steven" who was born, are not readily known to most African Americans. Even more modern African American Muslim leaders such as the Honorable Elijah Muhammed and his son Imam Wallace Deen, are not uplifted properly. Even the great Malcolm X is improperly lifted for his contributions to the growth of Al-Islam in America.
