Lisa Newton is an artist, an educator and a world changer. Aspiring to be a filmmaker, she found herself traveling the world volunteering with malnourishment clinics and orphanages after graduating from Florida State University with degrees in Film, Anthropology, Modern Languages and Linguistics, Religion and English. She returned from her travels with wisdom and vision for lower social economic communities to become self-sufficient. As a school district of Hillsborough county educator, she’s earned certifications in English, Social Studies, Science, Reading, ESOL and ESE and leads Fresh Fruits Tutoring and is the founder of the non-profit organization Fresh Fruits Learning Center, Lisa Newton seeks to rebuild communities starting with families. Lisa Newton continues to write, film and inspire wherever she resides.
