1st Come, 1st Serve vs. Being Special. The Daily Gogetemism.

We are taught that everyone is created equal and that if you work hard, you have a chance to be very successful. We learn that the way it works is a little different than the way that we were taught, as life goes on. Those who hold on to the optimism of the original teachings are sometimes seen as being foolish. Those who reject the original teachings are sometimes seen as being bitter and pessimistic. Of course, there is common ground, but why does it seem so hard to reach it. For example, we are taught that the early bird catches the worm. We are taught that it's 1st come, 1st serve. Is it really like that though? Does the person who gets to an opportunity, usually get the opportunity, or do we find that the fix is usually in? Depends maybe, right? Let's have a talk tonight.
