They say that it's better to be late than never, but you wouldn't always know that. Sometimes being late can be equivalent to never being there if you miss the most important part of what is going on. For example, if an award is being presented to someone and you are late to the presentation, you may have missed a one in a lifetime occurrence. You can't get that experience back. This was way worse before the days of camera phones. If someone is looking forward to your presence, or support for something, being late can have dire consequences. How many people have missed seeing someone alive for the last time because they were late? There have been times when a dying person was trying to hold on to life until someone who they loved would arrive. If they got there too late, they got there way too late. This is just and example. Let's talk about more of them.
