About Cheryl

Cheryl started guitar lessons at the age of 11.  She went onto learning music composition, orchestration & arranging at Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles.  From there she got a degree in commercial music at Los Angeles City College.  Cheryl then played in various local bands.  She was soon approached by some girls who were getting together an all-female band called KLYMAXX (AFB) and wanted her to come and start rehearsing with them.  The energy and fun that the girls were having pulled Cheryl into continuing to develop the band and with that, they appointed her to be the musical director!  After a demo tape of theirs went through several hands, Dick Griffey, who was the president of Solar Records eventually got ahold of it.  He went to hear and see the band rehearse and signed the band immediately to a contract with Solar Records that would spawn 5 albums.  Tune in to hear more about Cheryl and check a few of her records!  POW!
