Terri Brooks: Betty Lou’s Fight With No Fear Cancer Boxes are the creation of Terri Brooks and provided to women fighting breast cancer through her nonprofit organization, the World of Lonsville. These “care packages” contain products that women fighting breast cancer need, such as crystal deodorant, the things that women who have been there know. Terri knows. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. Due to what she saw her mother, Betty Lou, experience during her battle with breast cancer, how difficult the treatments were on her body, Terri opted not to undergo typical chemotherapy and radiation treatment. She did have a double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery, however. Terri was going through a divorce at the time and her three daughters, Aijalon, Mahlon and Elon, then 5, 7, and 9, were her strength. Today, Terri is a breast cancer survivor, a spokesperson for Susan G. Komen Los Angeles County’s Circle of Promise.
