A newly released recording of the 45th discussing his interactions with his Secret Service detail as his supporters stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, could be entered into evidence in special counsel Jack Smith's federal election interference case, a former federal prosecutor says.
In the audio, which comes from a March 2021 interview with ABC News' Jonathan Karl for his new book, 45th brags that he would have been "very well-received" by the crowd of rioters that showed up on the day the results of the 2020 presidential election were to be certified.
