This show started as a 1 woman show. I wrote & created it with Jessica Lynn Johnson. It was at a time in my life that got so heavy and dark that I had no other choice but to go within. I was losing my grandpa to cancer, while going through 1 of the most painful break ups of my life. I was also going through a slower time in my career with auditions and bookings and realized that I was no longer gonna wait around and wait for someone to “pick me” or “give me.” the opportunity to shine. I was going to write it on my own and show the world what I could do, and who I really am. Through my life story of unbreakable determination, perseverance and deeply rooted grit. Showing people that through my own struggles, pain and trauma, I would create the most important role I would ever play in my life, Me. My story, my authinticity. Being a stripper in my 20’s was not something I shared with a lot of people, I had shame about it, because people can be judgmental, even though I always knew why I was there. I hid it, especially after sharing this “secret life” with my acting teacher at the time who then told me to “take it to the grave” never tell anyone because, it would destroy any possibility of you having a meaningful career as a serious actor…Well, acting teacher, I send a wink and nod
to ya. Sharing my journey of stripping to make my dream of becoming an actor a reality, has been the Best thing I could have EVER done! Thank you, life is Good. I’m beyond excited and grateful to bring it to life again alongside Emmanuel Deleage as director with an amazing cast!
