Dr. Eric J. Chambers was born December 10, 1962 in New Orleans, LA, I dreamed dreams of becoming a radio/TV host. I was 11 years old. It is proof that this is not an overnight vision, but one that was born inside of me. I have stayed the course, even when criticized continuously by family and friends to get a “real” job.
Professionally, my TV career was launched in the mailroom at KGTV10 in February 1986 while I was still in the Navy. (I got out in March 1986.) While slinging mail, unlike the othermessengers who were wearing jeans and t-shirts, I always dressed in a suit. It caught the attention of others. By August of 1986, I started working in the newsroom as a grip (photographer’s assistant). Once eligible to operate the video gear, some days I would go in on Saturday morning at 9am to practice video editing, and wouldn’t leave until 6am Sunday morning to go home and head to church with my then-wife. I was determined to learn this craft. It paid off years later with 9 Emmys and Golden Mike Awards working at CBS in Hollywood.
He has authored several books, is the Founder/CEO of his own production company.
