Formally Julian Gem and Jewelry- we have now started the transition to a Natural History Museum. We recently moved into a cute historic building 2016 Main Street which was built from recycled lumber found in Cuyamaca after the Gold mining boom. We have a sample of Gold on display which was recovered in Coleman creek named after Fred Coleman who discovered Gold in 1869 putting Julian on the map.

To fund the creation of exhibits we Buy, Sell,Trade in Natural resources. We can gladly help you identify and appraise Insects, Bird Carvings, Gems, Jewelry, Shells, and Artwork. I moved to San Diego county 12 years as a underground miner in search of Bluecap Tourmaline and Morganite. I've traveled all over this country searching for Lost species and buried treasure. My wife Mercedes Pinto has recently built and started fabricating her own jewelry line. She is an amazing artist and we have many of her creations in our gift shop section.

Large stone art piece. Lots of gems and jewelry. Huge variety of cabachons.  Home to World's Best Species Specific Egg Replica Collection.  From Ostrich to Hummingbird a comprehensive collection. We have an amazing display of Spiny Oysters(Spondylus) and are currently putting together a Shells of California and the Westcoast exhibit. You can also see an Anglerfish up close. We love Natural History.  From chasing high elevation Panassius to climbing off of cliffs to hunt jade. Come visit let's share our adventures.
