The Ups and Downs of Becoming Miss America with Laura Kaeppeler

In this week’s episode of the Big Time Talker podcast, Burke is joined by the 2012 Miss America Winner and now Podcast host, Laura Kaeppeler! She talks about what it’s like confronting the fame and nonstop attention that comes with being crowned Miss America.

She dives into the world of beauty pageants and the experiences that made her into the person she is today.

On top of her Miss America Fame, Laura co-hosts the popular Health Interrupted Podcast where she co-hosts with Gina Lombardi. (Who you may remember from a few weeks ago)

Laura joins Gina on the podcast to talk with and help people whose self-care and life have been put on hold, whether it be after suffering an accident or being weighed down by day-to-day responsibilities, Laura seeks to help people get their health back on track.

Along with all of this, Laura has utilized her influence to help and advocate for at-risk teenagers around the country.

Having come from and represented Wisconsin over the last decade, Laura has been heavily involved in the community of Kenosha, Wisconsin. Laura has played a big part in this Sunday’s (August 29th, 2021) Celebrate Kenosha event!
