The life of Major William Trent is shrouded in relative obscurity, but his mark on the Colonial period of early US history cannot be taken from him. The son of a Philadelphia shipping merchant, and the namesake for the capitol of New Jersey, Trent served as the factor for one of the most powerful land speculation companies, known for his impeccable record-keeping and penmanship. By the eve of the American Revolution, Trent was the face of westward expansion. He was also purported to be the giver of smallpox-infected blankets to Natives at Fort Pitt in the summer of 1763.
Author and historian Jason Cherry works to dispel that notion and to tell how Trent served alongside contemporaries such as Benjamin Franklin and George Washington. A research consultant for the 1719 William Trent House Museum and the author of "Pittsburgh's Lost Outpost: Captain Trent's Fort," Cherry brings the biography of Trent forward in this new book. He lives with his family in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Diane was born with dyslexia, a learning disability that affected her ability to read and spell and impacted hand-eye coordination, making many sports out of her reach. She has a profound reverence for and connection to the natural world. She loves all creatures, but horses stole her heart when she was young. Circumstances did not allow Diane to own a horse growing up, but that did not stop her from searching for the "perfect" equine companion.
Diane dreamed of owning a horse someday. As it often does, life got in the way of making that dream come true until Rudy came along. At 50, she bought a down-on-his-luck chestnut Thoroughbred for 1 dollar. The trajectory of her life changed with that one choice.
Diane is the author of the award-winning Rudy the Rudster children's book series. She is passionate about creating opportunities to connect with children to normalize their feelings and make them feel less alone. She is equally interested in educating people, particularly children, about horses.

One- Match Fire is about a lakeside cabin in the woods, where three generations of men, in one family, go to find peace and a bonding that isn't always possible in the complexities of their lives. A grandfather, a son and a grandson find a connection with one another there. The grandfather built it, enabling him to learn how to be a dad after his own father abandoned him and his son becomes a father at a very young age and struggles to please his son, who is hiding a secret that he fears could destroy any hopes he has to strengthen his relationship with his father.
During the course of decades, they cut wood, built campfires, went skinny-dipping, cleared the land, learned the rituals like searching for ticks, learning to swim and to fish and to just be themselves in an environment that they could appreciate and love- together. It was a place where love had the opportunity to grow between them. Family traditions helped that process along but as in most relationships, self-doubt and an inadequacy in their roles as father, son and grandson can be huge obstacles in bringing true harmony to a family lost in its own flaws and fears. Stephonika was born in small town West Virginia. She graduated with a bachelor's degree cum laude from Ohio University in 2011, and has since been working in Ohio and across the U.S. as a production designer and set decorator. She has been a member of IATSE Local 209 since 2014. Along with her focused work in art and set decoration departments, she is a writer and director as well as an actor.
Her first major film credit was as the set decorator on the Wrong Turn (2021) reboot, which she attributes to opening up many opportunities thereafter.
She is also a self-taught artist and craftsperson / prop maker. With her skills in art, she founded her small Etsy shop Onika Arts & Oddities.
