From as early as childhood when you evaluate your abilities on grades then this is how we form an opinion about how smart we are, even though this is not a true evaluation of someone's intelligence. For instance, some people do very well on tests while others do very poorly. It just depends on that particular day, the skills that you were using, and even then how fast you can complete a project. When ever you go into a psychologist office to be tested and evaluated based on your intelligence, or taking a standardized test, the score is variable, and not always a good evaluation of what you are capable of long-term. As a student I did very poorly on tests and my teachers often said that I daydream a lot. The problem is that I have a short attention span, and what the teacher needed to do was to bring me back to task, but because teachers have read students in the classroom they can't always be aware that each child learns differently or that each of them have special needs. The problem is that we base our evaluation of ourselves on what other people tell us, therefore, it can create a low self-esteem based on what other people tell us about ourselves. What we really need to do is reevaluate our self image and self-esteem and learn to respect and love ourselves full we are because each person learns different things differently. People who should listen to the show are psychologist, psychiatrist, mental health workers, coaches, etc.
